Emberfall Saga

Emberfall Saga packs a full role-playing adventure into a download small enough to grab before a flight. You build a party of four, each with their own skill trees, and battle through a fantasy world that unfolds one region at a time. Combat is turn-based and rewards planning over button-mashing.

The story is nothing groundbreaking, but the writing has charm and the side characters grew on us fast. What impressed us most is that the whole thing runs offline, including the crafting and upgrade menus.

We spent close to fifteen hours and never hit a paywall or a forced online check. That alone makes it worth a look.
